MIND Technology, a technology solutions provider for various industries, has announced that its Seamap unit has received orders worth $0.8 million from The Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy System IWES (“Fraunhofer IWES”). These orders are for hydrophone arrays and related equipment required for the Manta Ray G2 system and are expected to be delivered in fiscal 2024.
The Manta Ray G2 High-Resolution system has been specifically designed to detect and localize small-scale objects in marine sediments, such as glacial boulders. It uses a unique survey methodology developed by Fraunhofer IWES for the de-risking of offshore construction sites. MIND Technology's President and CEO, Rob Capps, expressed excitement about being a part of the development of this advanced system.
