Engineering and consulting firm Wood has been awarded a contract by fabricator Dragados Offshore for the development of three 2GW offshore wind converter stations in the German North Sea. While specific project details were not disclosed, the converters are believed to be associated with TenneT grid connections, executed in collaboration with Siemens Energy.
Under the contract, Wood will be responsible for engineering design and regulatory support for the projects. The consultancy's experts based in the UK, India, and Spain will contribute to the comprehensive engineering efforts.
