Atmos Renewables Collaborates with Nomad Energy to Develop 1 GW Renewable Energy Portfolio in Western Australia

, an Australian firm, has entered into a partnership with to jointly develop a 1-gigawatt portfolio comprising wind, solar-plus-storage, and standalone battery storage projects in Western .

The collaboration aims to expedite the completion of Nomad Energy's utility-scale projects under the recently announced agreement. The proposed capacity will be integrated into the South West Interconnected System (SWIS) and is targeted to commence operations by the end of the decade.

The projects, currently in the early-to-mid development stages, will leverage the combined expertise of Atmos Renewables and Nomad Energy to navigate through the complexities of project development.

Atmos Renewables presently holds interests in 15 large-scale wind and solar parks across all regions of the National Electricity Market and is the exclusive owner of eight renewable power plants. The collaboration with Nomad aligns with Atmos Renewables' investment and expansion strategy in the renewable energy sector.

Nomad Energy's Founder and Managing Director, Guy Beesley, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, “There are great synergies between the teams and our shared passion for delivering market-leading renewable energy assets forms the basis of what will be an exciting and successful partnership.”

The collaboration signifies a strategic move by both companies to contribute to the growth of Australia's renewable energy landscape, aligning with the broader national objectives of transitioning to a more sustainable and resilient energy .
