Cubico Sustainable Investments announced the commissioning of its 135-MWdc Delta's Edge solar farm in Carrol County, Mississippi, marking a significant addition to the UK-based renewables investment firm's operational capacity in the United States.
With over 750 MW of operational renewables capacity now in the U.S., Delta's Edge, which commenced commercial operations at the end of November, stands as one of the largest solar farms in Mississippi.
Connected to the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), Delta's Edge is poised to generate electricity sufficient to power over 14,000 homes and businesses across the state. Operating under a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Mississippi utility Cooperative Energy, the solar farm reinforces Cubico's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
Cubico currently has a robust pipeline of 270 MW in clean energy projects under construction and an additional 1 GW of projects in development across the U.S. Delta's Edge has also propelled Cubico's operational renewables capacity in North America, encompassing the U.S. and Mexico, to over 1.4 GW, marking a notable milestone for the firm.
