Dutch lifting and service specialist, KenzFigee, has inked a contract with Aker Solutions for the provision of an offshore pedestal crane intended for installation at Vattenfall's Norfolk Vanguard West wind farm, boasting a capacity of 1400MW off the coast of England.
The contracted delivery encompasses an electric hydraulic box boom offshore Ram Luffing 2400 type crane with a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 20 tonnes. This crane is designated for installation on the wind farm's High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) converter station.
Hailing from the Netherlands, KenzFigee's hardware adheres to rigorous standards, designed and verified in accordance with EN13852-1, and certified to DNVGL-ST-0378 lifting requirements. The anticipated delivery timeline for the crane is set for the third quarter of 2024.
KenzFigee's Chief Executive, Maikel Takken, views this contract as a pivotal milestone, emphasizing its significance in fortifying the partnership between KenzFigee and Aker Solutions within the renewable energy sector.
