Everfuel A/S, the Danish hydrogen fuel company, is on track to complete the first phase of the HySynergy project in Denmark by the first quarter of the next year. This phase involves the installation of a 20-MW electrolyser dedicated to green hydrogen production.
The project represents the initial venture resulting from a EUR-200-million (USD 218.0m) green hydrogen joint venture formed earlier this year between Everfuel and Hy24. Hy24 is an equal partnership between Ardian and FiveT Hydrogen.
Everfuel's recent statement highlights the steady advancement of the HySynergy phase 1, with an updated timeline and a well-established operational organization and procedures in place.
Furthermore, Everfuel is actively pursuing a strategy realignment, redirecting its focus towards the development of large-scale green hydrogen production and refuelling solutions for heavy-duty vehicles. This strategic shift was first disclosed in August, aiming to position Everfuel for sustained growth until 2025 without an immediate need for additional equity, particularly as large-scale electrolyser projects progress toward final investment decisions.
The company emphasized that these strategic adjustments and organizational enhancements are integral to executing its growth plans and positioning itself favorably in the evolving hydrogen market landscape.
