Turkish Energy Firm Margun Enerji, Huawei, and Partner EGS Collaborate to Boost Solar Power Plant with 2MWh Battery System

Turkish energy company , in partnership with Huawei and Partner EGS, is set to integrate a 2-megawatt-hour system into its 20.17-megawatt power plant (SPP) located in the Mugla province of western Türkiye.

Margun Enerji highlighted the significance of energy storage systems in addressing global climate change, achieving carbon neutrality, and facilitating the transition to . The SPP in Mugla plays a pivotal role in this endeavor.

According to the company's statement, energy storage systems offer a solution for enhancing flexibility in electricity generation, ensuring the consistency of renewable energy supply, and contributing to the improvement of grid reliability and power quality from renewable sources.

As a subsidiary of Naturel Holding, Margun Enerji is actively exploring innovative solutions, including the development of battery energy storage systems. The company boasts a renewable energy power plant capacity of 308 megawatts in Türkiye.

The collaboration with Huawei and Partner EGS signifies a breakthrough in both renewable energy generation and energy storage technologies, positioning Margun Enerji at the forefront of advancements in the Turkish energy sector.
