giant has successfully secured a significant turbine order for the Bösel-West project in Lower Saxony, . Bioconstruct, a key player in the sector, has placed the order for the supply and installation of six N163/6.X turbines, collectively generating 41MW of clean energy.

The scope of the agreement also encompasses a comprehensive 20-year servicing agreement, highlighting a commitment to long-term collaboration between Nordex and Bioconstruct. Installation of the turbines at the wind farm site, located in the joint municipality of Lüchow (Wendland), is slated to commence in the autumn of 2024. The project will see three turbines erected within the municipality of Wustrow and an additional three within the city limits of Lüchow.

The Bösel-West wind farm is set to feature 6.8MW turbines mounted on hybrid towers, boasting an impressive hub height of 164 meters. Commissioning is scheduled for the summer of 2025, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to expand renewable energy capacity.

Bioconstruct's Managing Director, Henrik Borgmeyer, expressed satisfaction with the support received from the municipalities of Lüchow and Wustrow, emphasizing their joint commitment to advancing renewable energy development. The project holds the promise of financial benefits for communities within a 2.5km radius of Bösel-West, with a share of proceeds amounting to 0.2 cents per kilowatt hour. This financial boost is expected to provide the municipalities with an annual sum of at least 150,000 Euros, contributing to local projects.

Furthermore, the collaboration extends opportunities for local participation, with the option for the population to engage through fixed-interest loans and a stake in the wind farm's proceeds. Landowners in the project area are also afforded the chance to participate in the initiative.

Felipe Villalon Waldburg-Zeil, Director of Sales Region Central at Nordex, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with Bioconstruct. He emphasized the use of Nordex's N163/6.X turbines with a hub height of 164 meters, citing their efficiency and reliability in harnessing energy from medium wind speeds, a characteristic well-suited for the Bösel-West site. Bioconstruct's proactive measures, including large hub heights, were designed to address local concerns regarding shadow casting, sound, and comprehensive measures for animal protection, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable and responsible development.
