has officially announced the successful attainment of a power off-take agreement for its 402-MW Mineral Basin Solar project in Pennsylvania. The deal has been secured with the State Energy and Development Authority (NYSERDA), marking a significant milestone for the US renewable energy developer.

As part of a comprehensive land-brd renewable energy procurement, Swift Current Energy has been granted a 20-year (PPA). Notably, this project stands out as the largest one selected in the solicitation process, which concluded at the end of October. It is also the sole project chosen outside of the state of New York.

The Mineral Basin Solar project is slated to be situated on a reclaimed coal mine area in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. The photovoltaic (PV) park is scheduled to commence construction next summer, with commissioning anticipated in the second half of 2026.

Swift Current Energy is not solely focused on Mineral Basin Solar; the company is actively engaged in the development of over 1,000 MW of solar and storage projects. These initiatives are strategically located across former coal mine sites in Pennsylvania, reflecting the company's commitment to expanding sustainable energy in the region.
