Trina Storage, the division of Chinese panel manufacturer Co Ltd, has announced the successful delivery of a fully integrated 25-MW/50-MWh Energy Storage System (BESS). The BESS is a key component of a hybrid solar-plus-storage installation, strategically situated over fish ponds in Tianmen, Hubei, .

The collaborative venture, consisting of a newly commissioned 400-MW solar power generating plant and the co-located BESS, has been officially activated, marking a significant milestone in China's renewable energy landscape.

Under Trina Storage's contract for the innovative fishery-solar-storage project, the company provided a state-of-the-art 1500 VDC energy storage system. This system incorporates ten 2.5-MW/5-MWh battery cabinets, showcasing precision thermal management technology. This feature ensures uniform heat dissipation at the rack level, contributing to an extended battery lifespan, according to statements released by the company.

The completion of this project underscores Trina Storage's commitment to advancing energy storage solutions within the rapidly evolving renewable energy sector. The integration of solar and storage technologies over fish ponds not only maximizes land utilization but also exemplifies the potential for innovative and sustainable energy projects in China and beyond.
