Daqo New Energy Appoints Xiaoyu Xu as First Female Director

Chinese -grade polysilicon producer Corp (NYSE:DQ) announced the historic appointment of Xiaoyu Xu as a director of the company, marking a notable stride towards gender diversity on its board. The effective date of her appointment was November 13.

Xu, who assumed the role of investor relations director and board secretary in May 2023, brings a wealth of experience, having previously worked in the corporate and investment bank department of J.P. Morgan. Notably, she holds an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of , Berkeley.

Daqo New Energy Chairman and CEO expressed satisfaction at the appointment, stating, “We are pleased to welcome Ms. Xiaoyu Xu to our Board as our first female board member. We are confident that Xiaoyu, with her global perspective, creativity, and deep commitment to our mission, will significantly contribute to the Company's future growth.”

The move reflects a growing emphasis on diversity within corporate leadership, underscoring Daqo New Energy's commitment to fostering an inclusive and forward-looking board.
