Chinese solar-grade polysilicon producer Daqo New Energy Corp (NYSE:DQ) announced the historic appointment of Xiaoyu Xu as a director of the company, marking a notable stride towards gender diversity on its board. The effective date of her appointment was November 13.
Xu, who assumed the role of investor relations director and board secretary in May 2023, brings a wealth of experience, having previously worked in the corporate and investment bank department of J.P. Morgan. Notably, she holds an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
