Vestas Secures Turbine Order for 67-MW Velinga Wind Project from Vattenfall

has confirmed the receipt of a firm turbine order for the 67-MW Velinga wind project in from Swedish utility AB, according to an announcement on Tuesday.

Under the agreement, Vestas will supply, deliver, and commission 12 units of its V150-6.0 MW model in the 5.6 MW operating mode. Turbine delivery is slated to commence in the second quarter of 2025, with commissioning expected in the latter half of the same year. The order encompasses a long-term service agreement to ensure ongoing operational efficiency.

Anna Schlasberg Wachtmeister, Vice President NCE Sales North and West at Vestas, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration between Vestas and Vattenfall on the Velinga project, emphasizing the joint effort to contribute to clean energy generation in southern Sweden.

Vattenfall recently confirmed its investment decision to proceed with the construction of the Velinga wind project. The project is strategically located in the municipality of Tidaholm in Vastra Gotaland County, further contributing to the expansion of in the region.
