Hithium, a Chinese lithium-ion battery manufacturer, has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with US-based Perfect Power LLC, committing to the supply of 1 GWh of its battery products. The agreement, signed at Hithium's headquarters in Xiamen, China, outlines the delivery of stationary batteries primarily for Perfect Power's projects in Texas and California, representing the developer's key markets. The energy storage systems will be seamlessly integrated into the local utility networks upon completion.
Perfect Power, with a current portfolio exceeding 2,000 MWh of installed battery energy storage facilities across the United States, aims to leverage Hithium's advanced battery solutions for its ongoing and upcoming projects.
Hithium, established in 2019, has already shipped a substantial 11 GWh of its battery products worldwide. Chairman Jefff Wu expressed optimism about the collaboration, emphasizing its role in strengthening Hithium's presence in the US market and contributing to the country's transition to a net-zero future.
In addition to China and the US, Hithium has a global footprint, operating in Australia, the UAE, and various European countries. The company is actively expanding its production capacity with a target of reaching 70 GWh by the end of the year, positioning itself as a key player in the international battery market.
