Gautam Solar has securing certifications in compliance with the latest International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standards for its N-type TOPCon Solar Modules. These certifications are a testament to the company's dedication to quality and safety, aligning its products with global standards in product certification.
The obtained certifications encompass a range of critical areas in the solar module industry. They include standards that outline test requirements for design qualification and type approval, procedures for design qualification and type approval, requirements for construction to ensure photovoltaic (PV) module safety, and criteria for testing to ensure PV module safety. These certifications provide customers with the assurance that Gautam Solar's modules have undergone independent verification, confirming their adherence to stringent quality and safety standards.
Gautam Mohanka, CEO of Gautam Solar, emphasized the significance of these advanced certifications, stating, “Advanced certification like this is a major achievement and provides an assurance to the customers that Gautam Solar's modules have been independently verified for quality and safety as per global standards in product certification. With this, we reaffirm our commitment towards leveraging best-in-the-market technology to manufacture high-quality and high-efficiency solar modules; thereby, contributing significantly towards the country's endeavor to meet the sustainability goals.”
In addition to the IEC and UL certifications, Gautam Solar's N-type TOPCon Modules also hold certifications such as EN/IEC 61215-1:2021, EN/IEC 61215-2:2021, EN 61730-1:2018, and EN 61730-2:2018, further underscoring their commitment to adhering to international standards.
The company has also received IEC 62759-1:2022 certification for transportation tests, ensuring the modules' resilience against shocks, vibration, and impact during transportation. Moreover, the IEC 60068-2-68 certification for the Sand and Dust Test verifies the modules' durability in sandy and dusty environments.
Notably, the certification as per the latest IEC standards underscores Gautam Solar's dedication to staying updated with the latest technologies and best practices in the manufacturing process.
Gautam Solar is currently in the process of obtaining certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and inclusion in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for its N-type TOPCon Solar Modules.
These certifications align with Gautam Solar's commitment to providing high-quality solar solutions. Their N-type TOPCon Solar Modules offer several advantages, including a 5% increase in power output annually compared to P-type Solar Modules, lower degradation rates (1% in the first year compared to 2% for P-type and 0.4% in subsequent years compared to 0.55% for P-type), cost savings in balance-of-system (BOS) expenses of 3.26%, and a reduction in the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) by 1.56%. This showcases Gautam Solar's dedication to sustainability and efficiency in the solar energy sector.
