X-Noor, an emerging solar energy platform with a focus on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, has appointed Jesus Gutierrez to lead its operations in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the broader region, as stated in a recent press release.
Established as a joint venture (JV) between Spanish solar developer X-Elio and Dubai-based conglomerate Dutco, X-Noor is committed to building a diverse portfolio of solar projects. This portfolio includes on-grid and off-grid systems catering to commercial and industrial (C&I) facilities, utility-scale solar farms, and solar-powered hydrogen plants. Through X-Noor, customers in the region will gain access to clean energy solutions via lease or power purchase agreements, facilitated by X-Elio.
Jesus Gutierrez brings a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years in the global energy and decarbonization services sector, with the last 15 years dedicated to working in the region. In his new role, he will spearhead X-Noor's services in the GCC, with a strong emphasis on the Saudi Arabian and UAE markets, in line with the company's mission to accelerate renewable energy infrastructure development across the region.
Gutierrez expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “I am very excited to join this initiative and lead a regional solar company with ambitious growth plans that align with the region's robust decarbonization objectives. The partnership between X-ELIO and DUTCO combines local knowledge and global expertise, creating a synergy poised to expedite the development of renewable energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the broader GCC region.”
