Spanish solar tracker manufacturer Soltec Power Holdings SA has announced a significant order to supply 92 megawatts (MW) of its SF7 solar trackers for a photovoltaic project located in the state of Virginia, USA.
The supply agreement, revealed by Soltec on Tuesday, does not disclose specific project details or the identity of the customer involved. The Virginia solar farm, however, will be outfitted with a total of 2,498 SF7 trackers, arranged in a 2-in-vertical configuration, known for their high performance per hectare.
The project will utilize a total of 140,130 solar modules. Soltec anticipates the delivery of the trackers to take place during the first quarter of 2024.
This order marks another addition to Soltec's growing portfolio in the United States, where the company has already secured close to 2,500 MW of tracker orders. It follows a previous announcement in October regarding a substantial 302-MW order for a solar project located in Missouri.
