The Business Network for Offshore Wind, a prominent trade group, has announced a transformative rebranding initiative, unveiling its new identity as the “Oceantic Network.” This strategic makeover underscores the organization's dedication to convening stakeholders in all facets of ocean-based renewable energy.
In tandem with the rebranding, the nonprofit organization has introduced a fresh online presence with its new website, accessible at oceantic.org. While embracing its new identity, the Oceantic Network will persist in its pivotal role as the host of the annual International Partnering Forum (IPF), a prominent conference within the offshore wind sector and the largest of its kind in the Americas.
Under the banner of the Oceantic Network, the IPF will continue its mission of bringing together a diverse array of participants, including federal and state agencies, manufacturers, workforce advocates, scientists, engineers, and maritime operators. These individuals collectively contribute to the development, harnessing, and integration of clean energy sourced from the vast ocean expanses.
Liz Burdock, President and CEO of the Oceantic Network, emphasized the significance of this rebranding, describing it as an opportunity to refresh their messaging, introduce the organization to potential new members, and encourage a wider array of stakeholders to explore the oceans as a rich source of efficient and reliable renewable energy. The new moniker, “Oceantic Network,” symbolizes an expansion of the network's scope and strategy, underlining its mission to broaden its members' leadership in the offshore wind industry to encompass various sustainable ocean power sources that complement and expand upon offshore wind initiatives.
