North Abu Qir for Agricultural Nutrients and China Energy Engineering Corp have formalized a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to embark on a green hydrogen project situated within the premises of the Egyptian company, a development confirmed by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on October 27th.
In parallel, another significant MoU was inked between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and a Chinese delegation, signaling a mutual intent to harness renewable energy resources at multiple oil and natural gas sites throughout Egypt.
This significant agreement materialized during a meeting between Egypt's Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El-Molla, and Chairman of China Energy Engineering Corp, Song Hailiang, alongside his accompanying delegation.
The discussions centered on fostering collaborative efforts in diverse areas, including petrochemicals, green hydrogen, and the advancement of energy transformation technologies.
