Gonvarri Solar Steel, a Spanish provider of solar trackers and fixed structures, has officially inked a contract to supply its equipment for a 125-MW solar project located in the province of Zaragoza, Spain.
While specific details about the solar farm project and the identity of the customer remain undisclosed, the agreement signifies a significant stride in the region's renewable energy sector.
Gonvarri Solar Steel is set to deliver a total of 6,663 dual-post fixed structures for the project, which will support over 186,500 solar panels. These additional rows of solar panels will function as an expansion of an existing solar photovoltaic plant operating in the same vicinity, the manufacturer confirmed.
