TotalEnergies, the renowned French energy company, has announced its partnership with Corio Generation and Rise Light & Power for the joint development of a wind project off the coasts of New York and New Jersey. This strategic alliance marks a significant step in the quest for clean energy solutions in the United States.
Under this new venture, Corio Generation and Rise Light & Power are set to acquire a 27.7% and 16.3% stake, respectively, in the innovative project named “Attentive Energy,” while TotalEnergies will retain the majority share at 56%. In return for their participation, TotalEnergies will receive a substantial investment of $420 million, reinforcing the company's commitment to renewable energy initiatives.
The Attentive Energy project holds immense promise as it aims to provide electricity to more than one million homes spanning both New York and New Jersey. With sustainability at the forefront, this wind project represents a significant leap towards reducing carbon emissions and meeting the energy demands of the region.
