Swedish renewable energy company Arise has finalized the sale of its 105MW Fasikan wind farm in Sweden to SCA, Europe's largest private forest owner. The transaction involves the transfer of all shares in Fasikan Vind AB at an enterprise value of approximately SEK1.6 billion (€0.14 billion).
The project, which is in a ready-to-build status, was acquired by SCA at a share purchase price of approximately SEK125 million. Notably, this purchase price encompasses a variable portion contingent on the project's construction progress relative to the budget.
Arise will continue to oversee the construction process in accordance with a construction management agreement. The project will see Nordex supplying 15 turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 105MW, with an expected commissioning date in early 2026.
Arise's Chief Executive, Per-Erik Eriksson, expressed his satisfaction with the deal, stating, “We are very happy to be able to divest Fasikan under current market conditions and are especially pleased to do it with SCA, which creates conditions for a long and successful collaboration.”
