RP Global, a prominent player in the Polish renewables sector, and investor Marguerite have successfully concluded the sale of two wind farms, boasting a combined capacity of 103MW, to Engie Zielona Energia. The transaction, initially inked on July 28, 2023, received the green light from Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, marking a significant milestone in the country's renewable energy landscape.
Situated in Northern Poland, the wind farms are located in the regions of Tychowo and Kukinia. The Tychowo site is equipped with 20 Nordex N90 turbines, constructed in 2009, while the Kukinia wind farm features 23 Enercon E-82 turbines, dating back to 2013. Both projects have operated successfully for several years, underscoring the value generated by RP Global's dedicated development, construction, and operations and maintenance teams.
This strategic divestment aligns with RP Global's evolving approach to financing new ventures, as the company aims to bolster its diversified renewable energy asset portfolio not only in Poland but also across international markets.
RP Global reaffirmed its commitment to Poland as a core market, boasting an extensive pipeline of over 2.7GW in wind and photovoltaic (PV) projects in various stages of development.
