European Energy has sealed a deal with Sosteneo SGR for the sale of a substantial 68MW solar farm in Italy. The project, sprawling across an impressive 135 hectares in the picturesque town of Ramacca, Sicily, is poised for a change in ownership as Sosteneo takes the helm.
This agreement encompasses the acquisition of 100% of the shares of the special purpose vehicle Ramacca Energia srl by Sosteneo, marking a significant milestone in Italy's green energy landscape.
Alessandro Migliorini, Director and Country Manager of Italy at European Energy, expressed his pride in the deal, stating, “We are very proud to have concluded this agreement with a specialized fund like Sosteneo, a company which also includes Generali Investment in its shareholder structure because it constitutes not only a further recognition of the quality of our plants but also testifies to the ability of the European Energy team to dialogue with leading players in the Italian economic and financial panorama who are attentive to developments and the achievement of the goals of the green deal.”
European Energy received valuable assistance throughout the operation, with Green Horse serving as their legal advisor and EOS as the technical advisor.
