Enea Group, a player in the Polish renewable energy sector, has recently acquired a 35MW solar farm, known as the Genowefa solar farm, from Pad Res, a joint venture between Kajima Europe and Griffin Capital Partners. This strategic move reinforces Enea Group's commitment to advancing its renewable energy portfolio.
The Genowefa solar farm, situated near Kleczew in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, commenced operations in August 2023. It comprises an impressive array of 65,420 solar panels and spans approximately 40 hectares of land.
Paweł Majewski, CEO of Enea, expressed the company's dedication to expanding its renewable energy capacity, stating, “Over the past months, we have declared a clear acceleration of our efforts to increase the Enea Group's installed capacity in renewable energy sources.” He further emphasized the significance of recent investments, such as the acquisition of the Genowefa PV Farm, in realizing their commitments and contributing to the transformation of the energy sector.
Enea Group's renewable energy ambitions are indeed on the rise, with several projects in the pipeline across Group companies, totaling approximately 525MW with specified connection conditions. Looking ahead, the company has ambitious plans for 2024, aiming to develop projects with a cumulative capacity of around 800MW, complete with construction permits.
In addition to the Genowefa solar farm, Enea Group has made significant strides in increasing its renewable energy production capacity in recent months. This includes the acquisition of photovoltaic farms in Tarnów and Tykocin, as well as the construction of a new 19.8MW wind farm in Bejsce.
