Axpo and Pilkington Automotive Finland Ink Long-Term Wind Energy Deal

Axpo has entered into a long-term wind energy power purchase agreement () with Oy. This collaborative effort is poised to supply Pilkington Automotive Finland's two manufacturing facilities with an annual total of 35 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of wind-generated electricity. The source of this renewable power is the 30-megawatt (MW) Storbacken , situated near Voyri in Finland. The PPA is set to span eight years.

David Eickhoff, Originator at Axpo Sverige AB, underscored the significance of this agreement, particularly in a climate where long-term commitments are increasingly challenging to secure. He emphasized that despite the prevailing difficulties, Axpo's expertise and market knowledge enable the successful facilitation of sustainability goals for their clients.
