Ingeteam will provide 164 solar photovoltaic inverters to Grenergy for their Gran Teno and Tamango photovoltaic projects. These ventures, slated for commissioning in the coming months, are poised to generate clean energy, catering to the power needs of approximately 170,000 households in Chile. Additionally, they will play a pivotal role in reducing annual CO2 emissions by more than 175,000 tons.
In its capacity as a technology partner, Ingeteam will be tasked with supplying cutting-edge specialized components. Specifically, 136 inverters will be allocated to the Gran Teno facility, while 28 will be designated for the Tamango project. These inverters will be distributed across 41 transformer stations, forming a turnkey solution ready for swift installation. The collaborative agreement between the two companies encompasses not only the supply of the control system but also the commissioning of the equipment.
Jesús Echarte, the Commercial Director of Ingeteam's photovoltaic business, highlighted, “Chile is one of the countries with the greatest projection in Latin America and is contributing enormously to the decarbonization process of its energy matrix. We have a strong presence of local personnel dedicated to operation and maintenance tasks.” Over the past decade, Ingeteam has witnessed remarkable growth since establishing its presence in Chile. To date, the company has furnished its photovoltaic inverters to 66 photovoltaic plants, including notable projects such as Malgarida, San Pedro, Granja Solar, Amanecer Solar, Quilapilún, Quillagua, La Javiera, and Usya.
