Vestas, a wind turbine manufacturer, has secured a firm order for 27MW from Danish utility Hofor. The order pertains to the Bjornstrup wind park located in Midtjylland, Denmark.
Comprising six V136-4.5MW wind turbines, the order encompasses the supply, delivery, and commissioning of these machines. Delivery is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024, with the commissioning phase slated for completion in the second quarter of 2025.

Upon successful installation, Vestas will assume the responsibility of servicing the turbines under a long-term service agreement, aimed at ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of the assets.
Anna Schlasberg Wachtmeister, Vice President of Sales for Northern and Central Europe at Vestas, expressed pride in realizing this project in collaboration with Hofor. She noted that the Danish wind energy market has been experiencing notably low activity levels, making this partnership even more significant. Wachtmeister emphasized the robust business case presented by Vestas' established 4MW platform, which has enabled progress in challenging market conditions.

Jesper Pedersen, Head of Wind & Energy Trade at Hofor, shared his satisfaction, mentioning that the project had been in development for over five years. He acknowledged the challenges encountered along the way and expressed eagerness for the upcoming cooperation with Vestas in both the construction and maintenance phases of the wind farm.
