Goldwind Science and Technology Co., a prominent Chinese wind turbine manufacturer, has made significant strides in the global renewable energy sector. As of June, the company has successfully delivered more than 49,000 wind turbines worldwide, contributing to a cumulative installed capacity surpassing 105 gigawatts.
Fang Zhong, the general manager of Goldwind's Xinjiang office located in the Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone within the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, expressed satisfaction with Goldwind's global accomplishments. He emphasized, “Goldwind's technology and products have received recognition from global partners.”
One of Goldwind's notable strengths lies in its ability to adapt its turbine models to various operating environments worldwide. These customized turbines are designed to perform well in high-altitude regions, areas with low wind speeds, high-temperature climates, extreme cold conditions, and nearshore locations.
Fang Zhong highlighted the company's commitment to innovation through its extensive research and development network. Goldwind operates research facilities in Beijing, an innovation center at Bainiao Lake in Xinjiang, and six global research and development bases, all contributing to technological advancements in the wind energy sector.
By June, Goldwind had achieved a commendable operation and maintenance service capacity exceeding 61 gigawatts across more than 30 countries, further solidifying its global presence.
Goldwind is actively involved in pioneering zero-carbon solutions for emerging power systems. The company has played a significant role in implementing more than 500 zero-carbon projects across various industries, including port and shipping logistics, steel smelting, petroleum, and petrochemical sectors.
Recognition of Goldwind's commitment to sustainability came during the 9th International Intelligent Manufacturing Forum held in Wuhan, Hubei province, in early September. Goldwind's zero-carbon digital factory located in Dabancheng, Xinjiang, was selected as one of the top 100 benchmark intelligent factories for 2023.
Completed in 2022, the digital factory is situated in the Goldwind Dabancheng wind power equipment industrial base, Xinjiang's inaugural zero-carbon smart park. This facility boasts an impressive 95 percent green energy self-sufficiency rate for its buildings.
Through the integration of zero-carbon practices, digitalization, and intelligence, Goldwind's Dabancheng digital factory has substantially enhanced its production efficiency, further solidifying the company's position as a leader in sustainable wind energy solutions on the global stage.
