UL Solutions, a certification and testing company, has recently granted certification to Sany Renewable Energy's 5MW onshore wind turbine in Beijing. This recognition was accompanied by Sany Renewable Energy being acknowledged as a laboratory partner by UL Solutions during a prestigious award ceremony.
In 2021, Sany Renewable Energy's 5MW onshore unit received certification from DNV, solidifying the company's position as the first wind turbine supplier in China to acquire international certification for a large MW machine with a box-type substation. With a platform-based design approach and the utilization of mature “high-speed double-fed” technology, the turbine's hardware ensures remarkable reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in operation and maintenance. Consequently, it brings substantial economic value to customers, as stated by the company.
The integration of these turbines into the power grid represents a significant breakthrough in Sany Renewable Energy's onshore wind power research and development. It establishes a solid foundation for achieving low-cost grid connection, which is a crucial advancement for the company.
