Ocean Winds has installed half of the 62 jacket foundations planned for its 500MW Dieppe-Le Tréport offshore wind project in France, the company said, marking a key milestone in the construction phase.
The developer added that 20 additional jacket foundations have been installed since February, building on the initial 12 structures already positioned approximately 17 kilometres offshore.
Installation work is being carried out with support from several contractors, including Navantia Seanergies, Windar Renovables, Port de Cherbourg and DEME Group, reflecting a multi-partner approach to offshore wind development.
The Dieppe-Le Tréport project, located off the northern coast of France, is expected to generate enough electricity to supply around 850,000 people annually once it becomes operational.
Ocean Winds did not disclose a specific timeline for completion but indicated that installation activities are progressing steadily as part of the broader development schedule.
