Enel Green Power Romania's renewable electricity division, which is currently undergoing a takeover by Greek PPC, has recently obtained a permit to connect four wind farms in Potoc commune, Caras Severin County, to the national grid. These wind farms have a combined installed power capacity of 513 MW.
According to a report by Profit.ro, the estimated completion and commissioning deadlines for these projects are the end of 2026 for two of the parks, and the end of 2028 for the remaining two.
These wind energy production units are being developed by four companies that were acquired by Enel Green Power in 2021 from Romanian-Swedish investor Emanuel Muntmark.

The acquisition deal also included various other projects, such as a photovoltaic park with a capacity exceeding 680 MW in Arad County. The preparations for this solar park commenced last autumn.
The successful permit acquisition for the wind farms marks a significant step forward in Enel Green Power's expansion and commitment to renewable energy generation in Romania. With the projects expected to be completed in the coming years, the region can anticipate a substantial increase in clean energy production, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
