Ridge Clean Energy has secured Contracts for Difference (CfDs) for four renewable energy parks in the UK’s Allocation Round 7 (AR7) auction, the company said.
The successful projects comprise the 49.9MW Fair Oaks Renewable Energy Park in Nottinghamshire with 50MW of battery storage, the 35MW Six Oaks scheme in Cambridgeshire with 50MW BESS, the 18MW Sunny Oaks project on the Isle of Wight with 28.5MW BESS, and the 39MW Three Oaks development in East Riding of Yorkshire with 50MW BESS.
Ridge said the projects combine solar generation with battery storage and are designed to deliver renewable power while supporting local communities.
Power markets director Betsy Glasgow-Vasey said the developments would contribute through business rates, construction employment and community benefit funding, adding that as a UK-based SME the company sees significant opportunity to support the country’s wider clean energy rollout.
The government’s AR7 auction is a key mechanism for awarding long-term price support to renewable projects.
