PacifiCorp has signed a 30-year agreement to purchase the output of Innergex's 330 MW Boswell Springs Wind Project in Wyoming.
The project, which will connect to PacifiCorp's power grid through the Last Mile Transmission Project, is set to begin construction in June and be operational by Q4 2024.
Total costs for the project are expected to be $544 million, with financing and tax equity investment making up 90% of the funding.
Operating cash flows are projected to be $22.6 million annually and the project will receive 100% of the Production Tax Credit, worth approximately $39.2 million per year.
The PTC contribution for the Boswell Springs project does not include any additional credits for domestic content or energy communities.
The procurement of GE Renewable Energy wind turbine generators has been secured, and the permitting process as well as the selection of the EPC contractor have been completed. The project was chosen through a competitive solicitation in PacifiCorp's 2020 All-Source Request for Proposals, which was issued in July 2020.
