GEV Wind Power has established a new entity in Taiwan as part of its strategic expansion across the Asia-Pacific region.
The company said the Taichung-based division strengthens its position as a global provider of wind turbine maintenance services and builds on more than a decade of regional support for the energy transition. GEV added that the move represents a significant investment aimed at meeting rising demand for localised technical expertise in the wind sector.
David Fletcher, chief executive of GEV Group, said the expansion reflects the company’s long-term commitment to supporting renewable energy growth across Asia-Pacific.
“Our expansion into Taiwan reflects our commitment to supporting the energy transition across the Asia-Pacific region,” Fletcher said. He added that the new entity enhances GEV’s ability to mobilise resources “swiftly and effectively” while maintaining high standards in technical capability, safety culture and operational reliability.
GEV highlighted Taiwan as a key offshore wind market, with installed capacity expected to reach around 15GW by 2035, positioning the country as a cornerstone of the region’s renewable energy rollout.
The company said the addition of Taiwan operations extends its global service network, which already spans the UK, Europe, Australia, North America and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
The Taiwanese division will operate under the leadership of Emma Mason, head of Taiwan operations, and will deliver the technical and safety performance standards expected by GEV’s international client base.
