Exus Renewables has entered the UK and Irish renewable energy markets with the opening of a regional office in Cambridge, establishing a base to support its international expansion and long-term investment strategy, the company said.
The move follows the appointment of Declan Keiley as UK and Ireland country manager and is intended to create a platform for development, acquisition and asset management activities across both countries.
Exus said it plans to work with local developers to accelerate renewable projects and, in the near term, will focus on building a pipeline of asset management and investment opportunities. This includes acquiring projects at different stages of development where the company can help advance assets toward final investment decision.
The company also said it will offer energy services to third-party assets, drawing on its technical, commercial and operational capabilities, and will pursue opportunities in energy and digital infrastructure to support energy-intensive customers such as data centres and industrial users.
“We are extremely pleased to enter the UK and Ireland markets at such an exciting time in their renewable energy transitions,” Keiley said.
“As the dust settles on grid reform, we are keen to establish long-term development partnerships and extend our proven asset management expertise to both countries,” he added.
Exus said the Cambridge-based team is expected to grow steadily, supported by recruitment of technology and finance specialists. The office, located near Mill Road, will work with developers and stakeholders to advance projects using Exus’s international experience in development, financing, construction oversight and asset management.
