China’s Goldwind said it will cooperate fully with European Union authorities after the European Commission opened an in-depth investigation into the company’s activities in the EU wind market under the bloc’s Foreign Subsidies Regulation.
The company said the probe, announced on Feb. 3, 2026, relates to its business operations in the region and that it will comply with all applicable legal procedures during the process.
Goldwind said compliance is central to its global operations and that it maintains corporate governance and internal control systems designed to meet international standards and local regulatory requirements, including those in the European Union.
“Goldwind is committed to fact-based and constructive communication with the European Commission to help clarify the facts and enable all parties to remain focused on delivering efficient, clean energy solutions,” the company said in a statement.
The turbine maker added that its business in Europe continues to operate normally and that it remains focused on providing consistent service to customers and partners.
Goldwind described itself as a global clean energy partner with a development strategy centred on technological innovation, product quality and market-based competitiveness, which it said underpin long-term value creation.
The company also said an open and non-discriminatory international trade environment is essential for addressing climate change and advancing the global energy transition.
