Norwegian state-owned power producer Statkraft has appointed Tor Lønnum as executive vice president and chief financial officer, the company said.
Lønnum will assume the role on Feb. 1, 2026, succeeding Tone Aastveit Skuterud, who has served as acting CFO since Jan. 1 following the resignation of former finance chief Anna Nord Bjerke.
President and chief executive Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal said Lønnum brings broad experience from senior leadership and finance roles across Norwegian and international companies.
“I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Tor Lønnum as the new CFO of Statkraft,” Vartdal said. “Tor has broad strategic, financial and leadership experience as both CEO, deputy CEO and CFO in leading Norwegian and international corporations and I am confident that Tor will be a strong contributor to Statkraft’s success going forward.”
Lønnum said he was looking forward to joining Statkraft at a time when renewable energy is playing an increasingly central role in Europe.
“I am very much looking forward to joining Statkraft, a company that plays a critical role in Europe’s energy system and in the development of Norway’s renewable resources,” he said. “Renewable energy is central to Europe’s energy security, competitiveness, and energy transition. I look forward to contributing my financial, commercial and leadership experience to support Statkraft’s refined strategy and long-term value creation.”
Statkraft said Lønnum previously served as chief financial officer and later chief executive of investment group Kverva, and earlier held senior financial roles at Falck AS, Tryg AS, Tryg Forsikring AS, Gjensidige Forsikring and Aimia.
Skuterud stepped into the acting CFO position at the start of 2026 after Nord Bjerke’s departure, the company said.
