EEW Special Pipe Constructions (EEW SPC) has completed the load-out of the first monopile foundations for the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm being developed by Ørsted and Poland’s PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, the company said.
EEW SPC said it will manufacture and deliver a total of 77 monopiles for the project, with production and transport activities coordinated to align with the overall construction schedule.
The company added that operations at Rostock harbour provide a logistical advantage, as the non-tidal port allows high-precision load-outs within optimal time windows. This approach reduces standby time for installation vessels and supports a smooth transition from fabrication to offshore installation.
Baltica 2 will have an installed capacity of up to 1.5GW and is expected to supply renewable electricity to around 2.5 million households once operational.
EEW SPC said its role in the project underlines its contribution to Poland’s energy transition and to broader European clean energy objectives.
