Wind services provider Iver has acquired the service and maintenance activities of ENO Energy Systems, expanding its footprint in Germany, the company said.
Iver said the transaction gives it an established operational base in Rostock, including office, workshop and warehouse facilities, as well as several regional hubs across the country.
Around 60 ENO Energy technicians and engineers will join Iver as part of the deal, bringing experience across multiple turbine brands and strengthening the company’s technical capabilities in the German market.
“These are professionals who operate safely and professionally under all circumstances and bring a wealth of knowledge about the German market,” John van Soest, chief executive of Iver, said in a statement. “Within Iver, they will be given the opportunity to develop further and create sustainable value for our customers.”
Germany-based managing director Geert Leeuwis said the expanded network would enhance operations in Europe’s largest wind market and support both repowering projects and long-term turbine operation.
The acquisition also includes ENO Energy’s Remote Control Centre, which will allow Iver to monitor turbines, analyse operational data and respond more quickly to reduce downtime.
Iver said it has offered new service and maintenance contracts to existing ENO Energy customers, which will be delivered by the same technician teams now integrated into the business. The company added that the enlarged German platform is expected to improve regional coverage, shorten response times and increase capacity in line with its international growth strategy.
