Ventus Energy has secured four-year technical service contracts from EDF power solutions UK to provide high-voltage (HV) management and support services across five renewable energy sites in the United Kingdom, the company said.
The agreements cover the Blyth and Teesside offshore wind farms, the Sundon and Tye Lane battery energy storage systems, and, most recently, the Neart na Gaoithe offshore wind project. Ventus Energy said it will deliver HV control, senior authorised person services, and fault response and repair across all sites.
In addition, Blyth, Teesside, Sundon and Tye Lane will also receive inspection and maintenance services under the contracts, the company added.
“From offshore wind farms to large-scale battery storage, our teams are delivering the complex HV services these critical assets demand,” said Alastair Symington, head of operations and maintenance at Ventus Energy.
“This partnership not only strengthens our technical capabilities but also expands our footprint in the UK’s renewable energy sector, positioning Ventus as a go-to partner for high-voltage infrastructure,” he added.
Ventus Energy said the frameworks are expected to create new job opportunities, support business growth initiatives and expand training programmes to develop skills across its workforce, as investment in UK renewable energy infrastructure continues.
