Simply Blue Group has appointed David Povall as chair of the board of Simply Blue Energy OSW Ltd, as the developer advances its offshore wind activities across Europe and other markets, the company said.
Povall brings more than 20 years of experience in the global power generation sector and will support Simply Blue Energy OSW (SBE OSW) as it progresses its offshore wind portfolio. In his new role, he will oversee board governance, long-term strategic planning and the next phase of the company’s development.

The appointment coincides with an expansion of the board, with Kazuma Fukai, Makoto Takeuchi, Yuki Koshida and Chris Gaydon also joining as directors, the company said.
