Vestas has signed wind turbine orders totalling 183 megawatts (MW) with a single undisclosed customer across Italy, Spain, Portugal and France, the Danish manufacturer said.
Italy accounts for 52 MW of the total, with the supply of eight V162-6.5MW turbines scheduled for delivery in 2026, Vestas said.
Spain will take a combined 55 MW, including 36 MW of V162-7.2MW turbines and 19 MW of V162-6.5MW units. Delivery and commissioning of the Spanish projects are expected by 2027, according to the company.
In Portugal, Vestas will supply 32 MW of V162-6.5MW turbines alongside 18 MW of V136-4.5MW machines, with deliveries planned across 2026 and 2027.
The French portion of the order totals 25 MW, comprising four V117-4.2MW turbines and two V136-4.2MW units. Delivery is scheduled for 2026, with commissioning expected in 2027.
“All projects include a 10-year AOM 5000 service agreement,” Vestas said in a statement.
The latest orders add to Vestas’ European order book as developers continue to advance onshore wind projects supported by long-term service contracts across multiple markets.
