Dutch offshore wind foundation manufacturer Sif said it has reached full production at its expanded Maasvlakte 2 factory in Rotterdam, achieving a target output of four monopiles per week.
The company had previously warned in August that reaching full capacity was running six to nine months behind schedule. Sif said the milestone was achieved this month after investing “time and resources” in workforce training, stabilising equipment, and improving operational procedures.
Sif revised its outlook for full-year 2025 adjusted EBITDA to €45 million, with projections rising to a minimum of €135 million in 2026. However, the company cautioned that “global geopolitical dynamics are likely to result in worsening project economics and financing pressures” for the offshore wind sector.
It also highlighted potential risks from limited grid availability and slow growth in electricity demand, which could add pressure on offtake contracts for project developers.
