Polish renewable energy company R.Power has secured capacity market contracts for five battery energy storage projects in Poland following the December 2025 auction, the company said.
The contracts cover a combined 1,012 megawatts and 4,032 megawatt hours of capacity, strengthening the company’s position in large-scale energy storage, according to R.Power.
The projects are located in Dzięgielewo, Czekanów, Jawiszów, Wysoka and Wrzosowa, the company said, adding that they are expected to support grid stability and improve long-term security of electricity supply as the share of renewable generation increases.
The latest awards build on capacity market contracts secured in 2024 for four battery projects at Herby, Jedwabno, Tursko Wielkie and Gdańsk. Taken together, R.Power said its contracted battery storage portfolio in Poland now totals nine projects with 1,667 MW and 6,342 MWh of capacity.
“Reaching a total of around 6.3 GWh of contracted battery storage capacity marks an important moment for R.Power and for the Polish energy system,” said Przemek Pięta, chief executive and co-founder of R.Power. He added that the scale of the portfolio positions the company among the leading players in Poland’s emerging battery energy storage market.
R.Power is a Poland-based independent power producer with operations across several European markets, developing projects across solar, battery storage and wind technologies.
