Norway’s state-owned power producer Statkraft AS said its chief financial officer, Anna Nord Bjercke, will step down from her role, with an internal executive appointed as acting CFO from the start of 2026.
Statkraft said Tone Aastveit Skuterud, executive vice president for people, organisation and sustainability, will assume the acting finance role from Jan. 1, 2026. Skuterud joined the company’s group management team in April 2025 after holding several senior management positions at telecoms group Telenor.
She previously spent 12 years at Statkraft in a range of senior roles, including responsibility for financial reporting, accounting and strategic finance, as well as positions in corporate strategy and corporate audit, the company said.
Bjercke joined Statkraft as CFO and a member of group management in January 2024. In a statement, she said her decision followed a period of major strategic change at the company.
“After two inspiring and challenging years where we have sharpened the business strategy, divested non-core activities and significantly reduced our cost base, it is time for me to pursue opportunities outside Statkraft,” Bjercke said. “It has been a privilege working for Europe’s largest renewable energy producer with so many competent and engaged people.”
Statkraft’s president and chief executive, Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal, thanked Bjercke for her contributions during a period marked by volatility in the energy sector.
“I want to thank Anna for her many contributions to further strengthen Statkraft’s financial robustness and competitiveness in a period of increased uncertainty in the energy sector,” Vartdal said, adding that planned divestments were a key part of executing the company’s updated strategy.
Statkraft said it will shortly initiate a recruitment process to appoint a permanent CFO.
