Boskalis has completed its inter-array cable-laying campaign at Ørsted’s 913-megawatt Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, the company said on Friday.
The contractor deployed its vessel BOKA Ocean to install the cables, with its multipurpose offshore vessel Ndeavor following behind to carry out cable burial activities.
Boskalis said the completion marks an important step for the project and highlighted the coordination between the two vessels. “This is a wonderful milestone for both the development of Ørsted’s renewable energy project and for our vessel, which worked in close partnership with our multipurpose offshore vessel Ndeavor,” the company said. It added that the campaign was “a great collaboration that delivered excellent results.”
The wind farm, located in the German North Sea, delivered first power to the grid earlier this month.
