ReFeel New Energy has completed the sale of a 52-megawatt ready-to-build battery energy storage project in Tuscany to Engie Italia, the company said on Friday.
The project was developed from the ground up by the joint venture between ReFeel and SUSI Partners. It secured a 15-year capacity market contract in Italian grid operator Terna’s February 2025 auction for the 2027 delivery year, the companies said.
SUSI Partners said the transaction represents another milestone in the evolution of ReFeel New Energy’s development pipeline and reflects what it described as the strong execution quality of the platform. ReFeel New Energy was launched in early 2022 within the SUSI Energy Transition Fund as a solar PV development platform and has since expanded into battery storage, leveraging SUSI’s experience in the sector.
The company is led and co-owned by a local management team with a 15-year track record as founders and managers of clean-energy developer ReFeel. The SUSI Energy Transition Fund focuses on building and scaling platforms that develop, construct, acquire and operate energy-transition infrastructure across Europe and other OECD markets. SUSI Partners has raised more than €2.3 billion in investor capital over more than 15 years of activity.
In September 2025, SUSI Partners announced an agreement to become part of UK-based Gresham House.
