, 's largest private energy company, has recently inaugurated the first phase of the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant. Located just 100km away from the frontlines of the ongoing conflict with Russia, this project represents a significant step towards the country's energy independence.

With a substantial investment of US$200 million, DTEK has constructed 19 turbines for phase I of the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant. What sets this project apart is the utilization of 6MW Enventus turbines, manufactured by the renowned Danish company Vestas. These turbines exemplify cutting-edge technology and serve as a testament to DTEK's commitment to embracing innovative solutions.

Phase II of the project aims to add an additional 64 turbines, which would raise the potential output to an impressive 500MW. Upon completion, this capacity would establish the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant as the largest wind farm in Eastern . Furthermore, it would ensure a steady and reliable energy supply for homes and businesses in the southern region of Ukraine, bolstering the nation's energy security.

DTEK's aspirations for the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant align with their broader strategic objectives. By expanding their renewables portfolio, DTEK aims to contribute to the global fight against climate change. Additionally, they aim to achieve net zero emissions by 2040, which would position Ukraine as a prominent clean energy exporter to the .

However, the realization of these ambitions depends on DTEK securing an additional US$450 million in funding. Crucially, this funding is expected to come from foreign investors and state-backed international financial institutions. The success of DTEK's fundraising efforts will determine the future expansion and development of the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant.

The decision to embark on the Tyligulska project was made in 2020, representing a pivotal moment in DTEK's commitment to renewable energy. This endeavor serves as a testament to their dedication in harnessing the power of wind energy to transform Ukraine's energy landscape.

Ultimately, the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant is set to significantly enhance DTEK's green energy capacity, increasing it from 1GW to an impressive 1.5GW. With this substantial growth, DTEK aims to solidify its position as a leader in the transition towards sustainable energy in Ukraine and beyond.
