Ming Yang Smart Energy has signed two cooperation agreements with Brazilian partners as it seeks to expand its offshore wind activities in the country, the company said.
Ming Yang Do Brasil and Blue Aspirations Brasil have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore offshore wind opportunities across the Brazilian market. Ming Yang said the partnership will combine its offshore and floating wind technologies with Blue Aspirations’ floating LiDAR expertise and local development capabilities.
In a separate move, Ming Yang signed a letter of intent (LOI) with SENAI-RN for the Areia Branca Offshore Wind Pilot Project. The company said the LOI builds on a technical cooperation agreement reached in 2024 and supports what is described as Brazil’s first offshore wind test and demonstration platform. The initiative has already obtained a preliminary environmental licence.
Ming Yang said the agreements reflect its intention to strengthen its position in Brazil’s emerging offshore wind sector.
