The Nordex Group said it has secured an order from Spain’s Grupo Enhol to repower the Caparroso wind farm in Navarra, expanding a series of previous collaborations between the companies.
Nordex said it will supply and install six N163/5.X turbines, providing a total capacity of 34.2MW. The agreement also includes a 20-year Premium Service contract to support long-term operations.
Installation work is expected to begin in July 2026, with commissioning scheduled for February 2027, the company said. Towers, blades and nacelles will be manufactured in Spain, while hubs and drive train components will be produced in Germany.
The project is financed through the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, part of the EU’s NextGenerationEU programme, according to Nordex.
Francisco Cejudo, a senior executive at the company, said Nordex’s technology supports regional energy goals. “Our advanced turbine technology and manufacturing capabilities are essential for supporting the region’s energy transition and the goals of the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility,” he said. He added: “We are pleased to extend our partnership with Grupo Enhol and support Navarra’s leadership in renewable energy with the delivery of our technology.”
Nordex said the order builds on earlier work with Grupo Enhol at the Abilitas, Cabanillas and Pestriz wind farms in Navarra.
